Paul's Greeting and Prayer for the Church

Philippians 1:1-11

1
Chapter 1
1 Paul and Timothy, slaves of Christ Jesus, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, with the overseers and deacons. 2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 I give thanks to my God at every remembrance of you. 4 always in every prayer of mine for all of you, making my prayer with joy, 5 on account of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, 6 confident of this, that the one who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. 7 just as it is right for me to think this about all of you, because I have you in my heart, both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the Gospel—you all being my partners in the grace. 8 For God is my witness, how I yearn for you all with the compassion of Jesus Christ. 9 And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and every perception, 10 so that you may test the things that differ, that you may be sincere and without offense to the day of Jesus Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
